Greely Community Safety Audit
The Greely Community Association in conjunction with the Women’s Initiatives for Safer Environments (WISE) will be conducting a safety audit of areas in Greely in late March/early April and would like to hear what areas in Greely you think have safety issues. A safety audit helps people to evaluate how safe a physical environment feels, and identify changes that would make it safer for everyone who uses it. The audit looks at things such as is lighting adequate, are there places someone could be hiding, could you get help if needed, can you see what’s up ahead of you or is visibility obstructed .
Would you please send in any areas in Greely that you feel should be considered in the audit, e.g. parks, public pathways, areas where signage or sidewalks might be needed for safety reasons, obstructions to view in public areas, parking lots, inadequate lighting, is there special signage required in an area for safety reasons, etc. to the Greely Community Association at president@greelycommunity.org
As a reminder, the GCA meets the second Wednesday of each month except July and August. We hope to see you at a meeting!

It is our goal to have many families in the village participating in some way, along with bringing seasoned runners out to take part in a well organized and fun event in our rural community. Last year's run had almost 50 volunteers, over 450 runners and raised $25,000 for O-YA! All with the help of great people like you! Welcome! The Greely Community Association (GCA) is a
not-for-profit organization created to advance community interests and improve the quality of life for the people of Greely. Our members are local residents and dedicated volunteers who share an interest in their community. The GCA shares information and provides support to the Greely community in several ways:
- We provide a forum for discussion of issues, build consensus and bring conclusions to the public attention
- We cooperate with and support other community organizations in the pursuit of common interests
- We keep the community informed about activities and opportunities that may be of benefit or interest to Greely residents
- We initiate social, educational, recreational and other new programs as needs present themselves in our community
